Any parents or carers of Key Stage 4 students who do not want to know what they will be getting for Christmas this year should look away now!
Our clever students on the construction course at Rylands Farm, near Sherbourne, have spent the past term learning about carpentry and all kinds of wood work skills required for making furniture.
Our students have worked completely independently at their carpentry from start to finish, having learnt a number of joining and finishing methods. The resulting furniture is looking really impressive.
Senior LSA Luke Shepherd accompanies the students to Rylands Farm every week and has observed them mastering their carpentry skills. Luke said: ‘The pupils have taken great pride in their finished products and some have even been designated for Christmas presents’.
