This week Purple group visited Frogmary Green Farm for the second year running. Frogmary Green Farm is a working farm who are an arable and poultry farm in South Petherton.
Claire the owner of the farm and Jane worked with the students all day providing a fun filled and educational visit for everyone. The students took part in a range of different activities including wet felting and a farm tour where they were lucky enough to see over 40000 chickens, make biscuits, plant broad beans, grow cress and do a nature walk.
Purple Group thoroughly enjoyed the day and gained so much from the very active and informative sessions held at the farm. It really opened the eyes of the students to a working farm and allowed them to be very hands on and active throughout the day.
Frogmary Green Farm offer free school trips to all schools, and we have been lucky enough to book in a couple more of our groups at school as the sessions fill up quickly.
I know purple Group would like to say a massive thank you to Frogmary Green Farm for their educational visit and will hopefully see them again next year.
