Eagles Class and Owls Class got to plumb the depths on a recent trip to the Sea Life Centre in Weymouth.
Both primary classes finished off their special topic on Life Under the Sea with a fact finding mission at the Sea Life Centre.
Senior LSA Rebecca Steel explained: ‘We went to find out more about the creatures we have been learning about, like seals and sea turtles. We were also learning about different water temperatures and which creatures live in which temperature water.
‘The students ate their lunch in the restaurant with the public and they were wonderfully well behaved. The students all really enjoyed the trip, it was a bit of the shame the playground was closed, but it was a good day out’.
Primary teacher Charlotte Briatore read Owls class the Julia Donaldson classic story Tiddler as part of their literacy lessons. Afterwards the students made their own aquariums out of shoes boxes and re-told the story to their friends using their aquariums.
