KS3 students have had their Humanities lessons enriched with a visit to local National Trust Property Montacute House.
The students have spent a term learning about the Tudors and all aspects of Tudor life with teacher Suzanne Powell. They have looked at King Henry viii and his Queens and what life was like in the Royal Court, including the likely daily calorie intake of King Henry.
Montacute’s amazing parkland was the perfect place for a sunny picnic and to reflect on their tour. There were some great swings and a fountain with lots of koi carp. The gift shop was another popular destination where the students all bought souvenir rubbers. Everyone found the trip very interesting and fun and behaviour was impeccable.
