We have setup this page for you to find learning resources to allow your child/children to continue their learning from home.
Parents and carers: if you are anxious that your child may fall behind with their learning while others of you may be struggling to support the learning you have been sent within your home environment, in these exceptional times, I would just like to take this chance to reassure you that really good learning for our young people happens in all sorts of ways. Please take this time to explore opportunities presented by the home environment.
For example, why not try cooking with your child/young person, or teaching them how to carry out typical household chores such as cleaning, washing up, washing clothes? There are also lots of fun games that build social skills such as Monopoly, Uno, Frustration (the list is endless). Making telephone enquiries and putting together internet orders (eg weekly shopping through Tescos) really support young people in building skills for life. Basically, get them practising the things that will make them more independent and sociable in the future. Try to build some good routines for this so that young people don’t slip into spending too much time online/ gaming or developing poor sleep habits.
