Public Health England South West and Somerset County Council’s Public Health and Education teams are working together to support staff, pupils and parents following confirmed cases of Covid-19 at the school.
The decision has been taken to close the school tomorrow (Friday 20 November) and on Monday (23 November) to enable deep cleaning of affected areas.
Close contacts of the confirmed cases have been provided with public health advice and are self-isolating.
Wider school staff and parents have also been provided with public health advice, including what to do if someone becomes symptomatic. If your child shows any symptoms, please book a test and keep the school informed.
It is not necessary to arrange for a test unless your child is symptomatic. Parents have been advised it is not necessary for any other member of the household to self-isolate unless they become symptomatic.
Those already self-isolating must complete their 14-day self-isolation period.
Anyone with concerns should call 07860412587 or 07592504653.
We hope to be able to welcome all other students back to school on Tuesday 24 November.
