The MakeShift Ensemble theatre group brought ‘I am Turtle’, a play written and performed in verse, to Fairmead School recently.
Students loved the mixture of verse, tragi-comedy, story-telling and songs, which succeeded in delivering a difficult and timely message about the destruction of our marine ecology.
‘Just how old are you Great Uncle Archie?”
“As old as time and a bit before then”
“….like eight in the morning?”
“More like half past ten”
‘Discover the ancient song of the Sea Turtles as they guide us on a journey through ship wrecks and sea shells, to sing their song anew when the future of their underwater world is in peril.
